Important info:

~ Jarred developed Dissociative Identity Disorder, and has a total of 6 known personalities. Although he is technically the host of the system, most people find that the ones who are normally fronting are Asriel and Drake. This dramatic switch between Asriel and Drake is what led the media, and then in turn the people and criminals of Gotham to start referring to him as "the Gemini".

~ Drake is the embodiment of the brain's developed ASPD (Antisocial Personality Disorder). Aside from himself, Drake has regard for only one other person in life, and that is Jarred. He developed as a result of physical trauma, resulting in a great deal of disgust, disdain, and hatred towards his father and in turn, the entire Gotham police force. His role as a physical protector and prosecutor results in him fronting a lot, given the Gemini's job circumstances and the nature of Gotham city.

~ Asriel is the best friend Jarred never really was allowed to have. He's a caring, supportive, well-headed gentleman who cares deeply for the safety of the Gemini System. He's sort of the Yin to Drake's Yang, but it's a little more complex than that. While he does tolerate smaller crime for the benefit of Jarred, he's often nervous and very critical about the bigger, more sinister crimes that potentially run through Drake's mind. His role, as a caretaker, not only involves him caring for  Jarred's well-being, but also the well-being of Sien. Given the sort of nature and nurturing role that he has, he definitely ends up fronting a lot. To be fair though, he actively enjoys fronting.

~ Sein is the boy Jarred wishes he could have been, growing up as a child. Sein is a little boy, roughly 6 years old. He is the symbolic representation to Jarren of a boy who grew up in a healthy family. He is full of dreams, aspirations, and imagination. Sien doesn't front often, due to the environment in Gotham and how distressing the host's reality truly is for him. There are a number of positive triggers, though, that will bring him out. The System has been made aware that Power Rangers, dinosaurs, and dogs are a few of the potential positive triggers that may cause Sien to front.

~ Anthony has never actually made Jarred aware of how long he has been in the system, or what traumatic circumstance caused him to form. Ultimately, he spawned from the desire of being confident, stubborn and able to stand up for himself, and being able to command a situation. As a result, he formed as both an emotional protector, and ultimately a gate keeper of the system. He's not entirely perfect, but he's not afraid to pull a few strings for the greater good of the plan. Frankly, if Drake didn't exist, Anthony would be the one spending more time active, along side Asriel. However, with the two of them constantly butting heads, Anthony spends a great deal in the inner world, maintaining the stability of the system and ensuring that the alters don't kill each other.

~ Jessabelle is the only one who is not male in the group. She is a female-leading genderfluid individual that uses she/her pronouns. She actually developed as a result of a trauma, as well as a childhood desire to have a love-life, a sex life, and eventually find a long term partner. She's a bit of a hopeless romantic, and she often fronts in situations where either a positive trigger has brought her out, or in situations where neither Jarred nor Asriel feel confident in handling emotiona', romantic-based interactions with other people.

~ Jarred's mother (Linda Acker) left, which actually started triggering the development of DID. However, Drake who was the first personality to develop did not "introduce" himself to Jarred until he was 8 years old. The others began to follow at what seemed like spontaneous times, although really they all developed as the result of something significant or traumatizing circumstances in Jarred's life. Like indicated in many scientific journals, Jarred's alters all appeared before the age of 15.

~ Jarred's father (Samuel Acker) is a police man with a lot of issues. Ultimately, he is the reason Jarred leaves home and begins roaming the streets and alleys of Gotham in the first place. He's also one of the main contributing factors to the development of all of Jarred's disorders.

~ While roaming the streets of Gotham, Jarred and crew decide that the best way to ensure power, money, and security on the streets and in the town was to become an information broker. While occasionally committing his own crimes - thanks to Drake - the Gemini started out by gathering information through eavesdropping, hacking into the police records and phone records, and learning how to track bigger powers in the city. This does include: the Batman, the Black Mask, the Penguin, the asylum, and the Joker/Harley Quinn duo, just to name a few.

~ At one point while committing his own crime, the Gemini came across an innocent being sexually assaulted in an alley-way. Though initially Drake was taking control, Asriel couldn't stand the thought of just walking away and not helping the victim. So after a massive mental battle, Asriel assumed control and shot the attacker, killing him in cold blood. He then proceeded to help the victim to the nearest hospital without compromising his identity.

~ The name "the Gemini" was given to the Gemini System by media and news anchors. The first time Asriel overhears the name, he is walking from his hiding space to the library to go look up more information. Media outlets are covering the latest "terrorist attack" which just so happened to be Drake's planted pipe bomb in inner-city Gotham. At this point, there has been enough hearsay and news coverage that has caught both Asriel and Drake fronting that the late night talk shows begin to try to piece together and discern his identity. One of the commentators makes a comment about how "his horoscope must be a Gemini. Only Geminis are that two faced." To which... well... you know how that song and dance goes. It sticks. And that's how he gets his alias.

~The Gemini does in fact reach a point, shortly before entering the asylum, where he is connected to some of the best people who collect information, as well as access to the best sources of information. He obtains information on literally all the big names, becoming a rather large threat to most of the other villains and Batman. Using his contacts, and the network (ultimately a business tbh) that he created, he begins to more or less compete with the other, more powerful info brokers in Gotham. His goal is, in fact, to be one of the highest regarded info brokers in the city - and eventually in the states if entirely possible.

~ It's important to note that at his peak, pre-asylum, the Gemini has three total employees who regularly work for him- and do get paid. One of which is the individual who would have been his best friend if not for his father, and because Tai moved before he was 12. Reconnecting with Tai was one of the most beneficial things he could do, not only in the working world, but also emotionally.

~ An interesting bit to note is that when the System first starts selling information, they use that money to cover necessities... but not to get him off the streets first. In fact, he ends up occupying an abandoned shack and uses the spare money to buy better equipment for his work. A laptop/PC, other screening/monitoring/hacking equipment, WiFi, a pre-paid phone... you know. The good stuff. And AFTER he's done that to improve his work, THEN he goes and gets himself a place to stay that isn't the same place as his work.

~The Gemini has sold information on the Batman to multiple different criminals, mainly including Harley Quinn, the Joker, Two-Face, the Riddler, and Black Mask. He has sold information to the Scarecrow, and Dr. Strange, but before the asylum, often avoided doing business out of them in fear of his own fate. Truth be told, he rarely allows Crane or Strange to come any where near him, out of fear for his own life. Even Drake is afraid of the potential damage they could do to the System.

~He continues to sell information, even within Arkham asylum, and it's one of the biggest reasons as to why he waits as long as he does to make any attempt at breaking out. However, the longer he stays in the asylum, the more quickly he learns that he needs to get out do to his own safety. And this is both on physical and mental levels - from multiple vantage points.

~He learns of a man by the name of Zsasz and although he never expresses it, the information he gains on Zsasz actually terrifies him. Jarred himself often will make it a point to stay as far away from Zsasz as possible, while asking Drake to personally hide his fear from anyone and everyone - or at least as much as possible.

~Although taking extreme efforts, Gemini breaks out of the asylum...and the great chase begins. What Jarred has yet to learn, at this point, is that the psychiatrist who had just barely started to open up to him was actually a stolen identity. Jane Doe had taken note of the Gemini and has targeted him as a potential victim. Getting her way into Arkham Asylum was one of the fastest, and easiest ways to locate and to be able to observe him "naturally". Once he breaks out, Jane ditches the psychiatrist identity in attempt to prey on the Gemini and get closer.

Wow, he (and they!) are quite the interesting character(s)!
MPD always makes for some really fascinating and unique storytelling devices and character dynamics, and it's really refreshing to see a take on MPD that actually does go beyond the typical "Two personalities in one body" and actually shows a person who develops multiple new personalities over time in response to different stimuli and traumas. That was a mouthful.

I also am very interested by the drastically different alignments of each of the personalities. Again, I find it refreshing that we're not just dealing with "good and evil", and that all (or at least the majority) of the personalities actually seem to give a damn about one another - or at least about Jarred.

I don't blame the kid for being afraid of Zsasz ^^;. The guy is probably the downright creepiest member of the Gotham rogues around.

It's always cool to see another information-based character. I imagine Jarred must make a lot of enemies that way, and maybe has even come to but heads with other information brokers in Gotham (Oracle, the Calculator)?

 Very interesting character you have here . I look forward to reading up more on Jarred himself, and all his personalities!
