Gosh, you guys haven't seen this shenanigans in forever.
Welp, here it is:
When a person leaves, they typically say "I'll see you soon!", but when it's going to be a long time, they normally say, "Don't forget me," or "Wait for me," (especially in a romantic relationship), or "I hope to see you again soon." Sometimes, there is a person in your life, or maybe you are that person, who doesn't wish to be forgotten or left out of the group. Well, the rain represents life and its events. The events in life come and go, with some pauses in between. Sometimes, it's a cheery, light sprinkle - filled with joy, happiness and pleasure. Other times, it can be a down pour (such as in the painting) - filled with sorrow, angst, dispair, loss, and anger. The girl with the umbrella represents the person, or a memory you don't want to forget. She is just standing there, waiting for you to return by her side with a smile plastered on her face. You can't tell how much she misses you, or how much she's hurting, or lonely, or if that smile is really fake. She hides her eyes, which show her true emotion and let her feelings be read like a novel on the book shelf. She holds onto the umbrella so she isn't lost in the rain - lost in your vast, jumbled mess of memories. Her dress is red, so that you will easily notice her when you return and search for her.
